Euqee Wintergreen Essential Oils Recalled Due to Poisoning Risk

The packaging for the products violated the Poison Prevention Packaging Act and pose a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for Euqee Wintergreen Essential Oils due to a poisoning risk. The commission determined the oils were a violation of the Poison Prevention Packaging Act because the essential oil contains methyl salicylate, which must be in child-resistant packaging, a requirement of the act. The packaging for the products is not child-resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children, the commission said. ...
